The Area of Zion, which comprises of City of Marikina and other places outside the vicinity of the city, has become an embodiment of a stronghold of God’s people through the decades of evangelism. A multitude of people attended the fellowship at PMCC (4th Watch) Bldg., Marikina City last June 24 proved how the instruments of God in Zion Area make use of His grace in its full extent. The whole building isn’t enough to accommodate the attendance. Even the parking space was chock-full of people.
The event was like as a welcome occasion for the beloved Apostle Arsenio Ferriol and Evangelist Leticia Ferriol, given that it’s been a while since they return to Marikina from their evangelism and edification of various places around the world. The Zion brethren were enthusiastic to see and hear them preach the Word of God once more. On the seminar part, Evangelist Leticia tackled about the essentials of personal evangelism.
The Divine Worship was started with song of adoration for the Lord led by Pastor Anna dela Torre. The prayer dedicating the day of revering was uttered by Pastor Charlie Magbata of Red Area. Pastor Lito dela Torre, the Gold Area Adviser, officiated the reading of the Holy Scriptures. The message of giving thanks unto God was delivered by Pastor Zeny dela Cruz.
Song of praises from Marikina Symphony of Praise, Choir of 1st Year AIT (Assosiate in Theology) students, PMCC String Orchestra, and Highest Praise Chorale, were presented for the Lord during the worship. A video testimony of brethren from the remote place of Inigan, Rizal was also seen by the crowd. The congregation was stunned to the acts of faith of the Inigan brethrens on how they contend against the difficulties just to worship God.
The beloved Apostle Arsenio Ferriol was the keynote speaker of that day. As a Goodman of the House, he strengthened the belief of the brethren in Christ, based on the Scriptures, that He will come soon. He discussed the doctrine of 70 Weeks and Division of Times and Season. He also explained the theme of the fellowship which was “God’s People Doing Mighty Exploits” (Daniel 11:32).
An altar call was made after the message, inviting the huge number of visitors in accepting the salvation offered by Christ.
The evening event was a variety show prepared the brethren from various areas. Songs, dance number, and song interpretation were enjoyed by the attendees. The crowd became livelier as Pillars Band sang their godly songs. After the presentations, Pastor Askel dela Cruz delivered the Word of God.
Also, an awarding ceremony was held. Plaques were awarded to the areas according to their accomplishments. Blue and Green Area, headed by Pastor Lina Gelogo and Pastor Rodel Quiambao respectively, were awarded with the highest recognition because of their exemplary performance.
The accomplishment of the fellowship is a sign of God’s goodness to His people in Zion Area, for He did not just pours down His grace, but He also sent faithful servants to utilize His grace with zealousness and haste. (A. Javier)
