As the sanctified people of God, the Church must offer abundant thanksgiving to the Lord that upheld His bountiful blessings to His people.
This is what the congregation of the PMCC 4th Watch Chicago Locale has proven as they rejoice in the merriment of the 5th year of Chicago locale church held in Northwest Marriott Hoffman Estate last July 8. Directed by the theme, “The Abundant Thanksgiving of the Consecrated People of God” taken from II Peter 2:5, the brethren and visitors alikemagnified and amplified the mighty name of the Lord.
As part of the celebration, consecutive gatherings were held prior to the day of the anniversary suchas the 2-day Spiritual Empowerment followed by a Prayer Fellowship in the third day. Pastor Maritess Ferriol, Minister from South Bay Locale Church, was the guest speaker during these events whereinmessages were focused and concentrated on consecration as this was the theme of the events. Pastor Maritess elaborated and emphasized the significance of consecration in serving God, most especially in the end-time. After understanding the Words of God, many accepted Christ and so does those who were crying and were moved by the message. Baptisms are scheduled on the following week to those who accepted that night.
In making the celebration livelier, vigorous and active, a cultural dance production was performed by the youth ministry. Also, a dance production was presentedby non-Asian youth and Filipino members alike.
This event was indeed a great illustration as well as demonstration of God's faithfulness to His people. (P. Manlapig)
