On the 3-day Luzon Summer Cadets Camp 2017, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was continuously being experienced by the youngest bracket of watchers department of the Pentecostal Missionary CHURCH of CHRIST (4th Watch) also known as Cadets. This annual gathering aims not only to strengthen their faith, but also their companionship with their fellow campers. From the evening of April 9 up to the late afternoon of April 12, fun-filled yet friendly and edifying activities were held at the AATF Sports Complex in Malagasang, Imus, Cavite.
Filled with excitement, the enthusiastic campers rushed at the AATF Complex not only to witness God’s glory but most importantly to be blessed by the Holy Spirit in this year’s Summer Cadets Camp. The venue was filled with boisterous singing and praising to the Lord.
Bishop Art Ferriol jump started the Opening Service as the speaker. He comprehensively explained to the little campers the theme of the camp, “Born for God’s Glory” taken from Jeremiah 1:5.

Their services were divided into 2. The Cadets A held theirs at the lobby of the AATF Complex while the Cadets B were inside. It was only in the evening services that they were joined together. Selected cadets were given the opportunity to partake in the services thus boosting their confidence as well as giving them valuable experiences during their stay in the camp.
As early as 4 am, every cadets have been preparing to once again be empowered by the words of God brought by His sent ones. With each day of the camp that passes, the dedication of the cadets in prayer grew deeper. The AATF Complex was filled with the humble cry of intercessory prayers in every morning. It was then followed by the breakfast and preparation for the seminars in the morning.
Before the seminars, an ample time was provided for the teaching of new songs wherein the children learned many new songs and praises for the Lord. Selected cadets who are energetic and lively led the praise and worship. Pastor Cecile Mendoza, Pastor Niña Dela Cruz, Pastor Vicky Alano, Pastor June Alano, Pastor Mona Quillao, and Pastor Jun Marbida enlightened the young delegates through their instructive and educative seminars. Video presentations, clips, and powerpoint slides aided them to be more informative during their messages.
After the seminars, the divine worship followed. Pastor Divine Magbata, Pastor Eva Quines, Pastor Marina De Luna, and Pastor Raquel Dela Cruz were the ones that ministered the Word of God which encouraged the young campers to bring glory to God. Despite their young ages, their perseverance and devotion were manifested as they wholeheartedly went in front of the stage every time the speakers asked who will dedicate their lives in service to the Lord. Then, once again their friendship with their kin were developed through their fellowship during lunch and siesta.
In the afternoon, camaraderie and sportsmanship prevailed as different contests and competitions were held. On the first day, the competitions began with the battle of the brains in Know the Word, Bible Quiz, Shower of Verses as well as in boosting their confidence in Story Telling and Declamation. On the second day, the aspiring musicians showcased their talents to glorify God in the 3 different categories of Singing Contest after the Song Interpretation Contest.
At night, a presentation of their God given gifts was presented in the Talents Night. On the second night, the finals of the Singing Contest was held. Pastor Lito Dela Torre and Pastor Beth Ibarbia delivered the message during the service.
During the dedication service, the devoted young delegates awaited the final wave of blessings God has in stored for them in this last service for the Luzon Summer Cadets Camp 2017. Shouts of praises, glorifying the Lord, reverberated throughout the service hall setting the atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to freely work on every believer present.
The entire congregation was blessed to have the Goodman of the House, Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol as the speaker. He ministered the message of God and underscored the truth that we are born for God’s glory. Having known these, we must seek to consecrate ourselves for consecration is God’s pre-requisite in doing marvelous things.
