What Kind of Faith Must a Man Keep?

Faith is important and it needs to be taken care of and fought for. Why does it need to be kept safe and defended? We should earnestly fight for it and never must we surrender it in any way because faith is extremely significant. Without faith, whoever may not be pleasing to God (Hebrew 11:6). And not owning faith means separation from God. The Holy Scripture proves it in Hebrew 3:12 –

“Take heed, brethren, lest there be any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”

So it is important to keep one’s faith. In addition, we need to defend our faith for through this, we received salvation (Ephesians 2:8). Also, faith is the key for us to attain all which that we request from God. James 1:5-6 clearly states that:

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, that giveth all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering: for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”

A man who has faith may attain anything that he requests from God. In Christ’s coming, He shall be seeking the individuals who have faith (Luke 18:8). He shall look for those who have been his faithful followers and owned true faith. All people may have faith but in different things and ways. And if faith is the belief in things not seen (Hebrew 11:1): therefore, everyone has faith. But the Holy Scripture states what kind of faith must a Christian have. Romans 10:8 expresses that –

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;”

Not any kind of faith must a man possess. He must have the faith preached by the sent ones of God (Romans 10:17). Thus, the faith a person must own is the belief based on the words delivered by God’s commissioned preachers. God’s sent preachers carry the teachings of Christ. They have the right to make disciples in faith (Romans 1:5) and they were the ones authorized by God to lead the church in which the true believers dwell. The sent ones of God based on the Bible were the prophets and apostles (Luke 11:49). In the Old Testament, the leaders in faith were the prophets while in the New Testament, the leaders in the church are the apostles. Therefore, the faith taught by the apostles is the belief that must be owned by a person who wants to serve God.
