With hearts overflowing with gratitude to God’s goodness in the church, the Pentecostal Missionary CHURCH OF CHRIST (4th watch) Kawasaki locale celebrated their 12th year anniversary on August 6, 2017, at the Rokugo Community Center in Ota City.
The brethren dwelled on the theme, “Celebrating God’s work of Salvation through Thanksgiving.” The congregation joyfully rendered songs of praises glorifying the name of the Lord which was led by the Kawasaki Praise and Worship team. Pastor Jenny Balawang officially welcomed the guests and brethren before introducing the event’s guest speaker.
Kawasaki Locale Head Pastor, Vench Balawang ministered about God’s faithfulness and encouraged the brethren to give thanks and support God’s mission. The Kawasaki choir then offered a song of praise exalting the name of the Lord.
Pastor Ruth Rosas of Gunma Locale, the keynote speaker, delivered a powerful message on God’s goodness and the reasons we should always give thanks to the Lord. In her message, she emphasized that God is good to everyone just like a father is good to his child that He created everything perfectly, provided for all mankind’s needs and made salvation easy to obtain.
Deeply moved by the message of God and the working of the Holy Spirit, a handful of guests accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior during the altar call. Several brethren also gave their Thanksgiving offering before kneeling down for the dedication.
A gospel concert filled with songs of praises and performances by the Kawasaki brethren and some special guests was held right after the worship service. A number of guests also took home prizes during the raffle draw.
Filled with gladness and hope, the members and guests went home with smiles and laughter holding on the promise of God to those who serve Him.
