Great leaders start from great teachers. There is no better way to train the potential leaders of the Church other than having a leaders’ conference, which was already done for the 2nd time in Japan District, last August 17-18, at Nagoya Locale.
The 2-day conference focused on the topic: “Effective Apostolic Church Leadership” from 1 Peter 5:2-3 to instill to the brethren to change their perspective when it comes to service in the Church. As soon as registration started, the attendees were received during the Welcome Service in which Pastor Sam Ferriol delivered the word of God, stressing on the fact that one can be a great leader as long as he follows Christ and His sent ones, the apostles.
In the afternoon, Pastor Nimfa Barrera and Pastor Ruth Rosas led the seminars in order to orient the brethren on the requirements of being a great leader. After the congregation had their dinner, they were blessed and encouraged to take up on the challenge on becoming a leader that is as effective as the Goodman of the House, Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol, as Pastor Maya delivered the message on that same evening.
The next day, attendees were given a chance to speak up their questions regarding leadership in the church during the symposium facilitated by Pastor Victor Fuerte. The brethren were continually inspired by the living testimonies of the speakers during the seminars in the afternoon: Sister Kirsten Ferriol, SBO President of the Maranatha Bible School and Pastor Jojo Cruz, one of the ministers in Japan.
When the Leaders Conference came to a close, more and more brethren were excited to answer the call of effective apostolic leadership as Pastor Sam Ferriol gave words of wisdom on becoming and surpassing the great leaders the Church has today.
