God’s overwhelming goodness evident in the local church of Baguio City prompted our brethren to gather in celebration of their 32nd Church Anniversary and Thanksgiving Day last September 30.
With the theme Giving Thanks for God’s Glorious Deeds to His Church taken from Psalms 118:23-24, the momentous event brought a welcome respite from the incessant rain and stormy weather experienced all throughout the quarter. Overcoming the odds and hurdles, hundreds of our brethren along with their visitors flocked the Cooyeesan Function Hall to commemorate God’s marvelous works.
Spirit-filled praises with hymns and flags led by the Baguio Locale praise and worship team jumpstarted the event and prepped the hearts and minds of God’s people in reminiscing His goodness and mercy.
The full support of the local government to Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ Baguio City Locale was clearly exemplified as officials, starting from the honorable Congressman down to the City Mayor and Councilors, graced the celebration and gave their sincere and heartfelt greetings.
Songs of adoration from the Cadets, Youth and Adult Department exalted the name of the Lord which also primed the congregation for the empowering and enlightening, unadulterated words of God ministered by Presbyter Reynald P. Sulayao.
Maranatha Christian Academy students rendered songs and dance numbers for God’s glory as brethren gave their thanksgiving offerings.
With God’s unfathomable love and mercy, less than a hundred visitors received salvation. Indeed, the undeniable and immense growth of the church led the brethren to show not only their overflowing gratitude but they also dedicated themselves continually to faithful service unto the Lord.
