This year’s first Zion Area Fellowship was a celebration to behold! The grand service was successfully held at the Ynares Center Antipolo with brethren and guests completely flooding the complex. The event started with a spectacular presentation from the Marikina Young Watchers, MBS Choir, and Highest Praise Chorale which was a visual feast for the brethren. The event’s introduction seamlessly transitioned to a resounding Praise and Worship led by Sis. Reshen Vallespin. Ptr. Rodel Quiambao then led the congregation to prime the brethren in worshipping through an opening prayer. Afterwards, Ptr. Rexor Garcia headed the scripture reading preceding Presbyter Leticia S. Ferriol’s warm welcome. She welcomed the brethren and guests alike as well as notable politicians such as Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares and Senator Bam Aquino, who is currently aspiring for reelection in the office.
Bro. Alvin Mallari and Sis. Reshen Vallespin then performed a heart-warming rendition of the song entitled “The Prayer.” Following that beautiful piece, Ptr. Charlie Magbata then stressed the importance of giving thanks to the Lord through his offertory message. The worship service did not lack in singing the highest praises unto the Lord as the MBS Choir, featuring Bro. Rob Guerrero, sang a majestic song of praise. Afterwards, Ptr. Levi Ferriol introduced the keynote speaker, Apostle Arsenio Tan Ferriol.
Apostle highlighted the Zion Area Fellowship’s theme “Foundations Stronger in Love” coupled with the verse Ephesians 3:17. The apostle started his message with stressing the actuality of gathering together; that we become unwilted and refreshed in God’s words. “The Word of God is the Word of Christ, and the Word of Christ is the Word of the apostles,” he fully emphasized in the introduction of his message. The apostle also accentuated that Jesus Christ is the strongest foundation, to whom we should remain unshaken and rooted in.
Following the message, Ptr. Levi Ferriol led the awarding ceremony for the families that served the Lord unceasingly with unwavering faith and devotion.
The church in the end-time is surely never lacking in talents nor in God’s grace. As the seasons go by, we can surely testify His undying love for us. (A. Miguel)
